I learned many years ago the benefit of speaking to those my senior. I remember many Sundays at nursing homes, fellowshipping and ministering to dear senior saints as a young man. Our family would go to be a blessing, yet we received the lion’s share of the reward. In part because those dear folks would take time and invest some critical bits of hard-earned knowledge in me. And as a child, I always gravitated to the adults’ side of the dinner table. Their conversations always seemed more interesting.
That is how I felt speaking to dear Mrs. Gearis. She was so kind to share some time (and wisdom) with me not long ago, and what a privilege it was! The insight and grace she displayed were incredible.
She reminisced about the life and legacy of her late husband, Evangelist Ron Gearis. We shared stories of faith and God’s provision and marveled at the boldness with which Brother Ron preached the Gospel. Whether you’re familiar with Brother Ron’s ministry or hearing about it for the first time, this conversation will inspire you to trust God’s plan and be bold in sharing the Gospel.
Please take a moment and watch and listen.

Enjoyed listening and reminiscing. I was a teenager when I first heard Bro. Ron preach. What a blessing! He had a great deal in shaping the direction of my life. I was saved at 13 years of age, but I believe I was older, about 15 or 16 going to youth rally’s at Bro. Ron’s church. I remember those words “look me in my God-given eyeballs” and I always thought he was talking directly to me at that time. He loved young people and he loved the Lord. His wifey was one of the sweetest ladies I ever met.
A wonderful interview!
Bro. Gearis was my pastor! He and Ms. Judy were my ‘spiritual parents’! I’m so thankful for their investment in me and my family’s lives.
I was privileged to have met Bro Ron and amiss Judy in 2004. What a blessing they both were.
One of their missionaries was a major influence in me turning my life around. They served for over 30 years. His wife recently went on to glory.
