Proverbs 27:17 – Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
I am blessed with some SHARP friends. I don’t mean they try to cut me or others down. My friends are the type to lift and encourage, but they are also always ready to offer wise counsel.
Throughout my life, I’ve had mentors from my Father’s and Grandfather’s generation, and the investment of those aged men has always been of the utmost value. But, as I’ve grown and matured, God has blessed me with friends from my own generation. Each of us is thankful for our Goodly Heritage, and not one of my friends professes himself wiser than our forbears. But, we also understand that should the Lord tarry His coming, there will come a day that our Elijahs will pass on, and we will be left behind.
That’s why I am so thankful for the men of Goodly Heritage. This music group consists of some singing men with hearts for God. These are men I trust. I am excited to introduce you to each of these friends of mine. I’d encourage you to listen to this podcast as we discuss why this group exists and how we strive to serve God through our music and lives.
